My Personal Story
Back in my college years, a friend of mine talked me into checking out a Martial Arts Studio and taking a free class. I liked it so much that I joined up and started taking every class they had to offer. I tried Judo, Jujitsu, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Hapkido and Aikido.
There I made another friend who loved to lift weights and after trying out a couple of sessions at "Gold's gym" with him, I joined up. It was a childhood dream to be a member there. I was working out at the gym for about 3 to 4 hours a day and doing Martial Arts 3 days a week. My max on Bench Press went from 250 to 375 pounds and I was pushing 900 plus pounds on the Leg Press machine. My weight at the time was 195 pounds which was the leanest I have been since I have been chubby most of my life. The gym changed hands and went under and my college career ended around the same time.
Then real life started and I stopped working out all together but just reminisced and dreamt about those "good old days" when I had all the time in the world! I was on the road a lot working in different locations and eating out resulted in gaining weight and not in a good way. A few years went by and I ended up being 248 pounds at my heaviest. It took a few life changing events for me to realize I wanted to lose weight and "Get Back in SHAPE". I always wanted to be back in the gym and I loved the idea of helping others reach their goals so I started studying and got my Nationally Accredited Certification. Since I wanted to be a trainer I thought it would be great for me to hire other trainers and see how they trained. I probably worked with 7 or 8 different trainers. It was an Investment in myself! While undergoing training I learned a lot and my body made an amazing transformation. I lost over 40 pounds of fat!
I felt so much better about myself, I decided to end my other career completely and transition to helping people like you reach your goals, whether you want to undergo a Body Transformation, gain muscle or just lose a little weight to fit back into those clothes at the back of your closet. And I also know how it feels to be on the roller coaster of life and let fitness take the back seat and not be your number 1 priority. Sometimes circumstances do get out of control but I am here to motivate you and help you "get back in Shape and take charge of your life"!
I now have a passion to help build others up physically, as well as emotionally, by being positive and understanding. So now MY success is in YOUR success!
